Spinning Plates

Please forgive my lack of blogging recently. I'm sure your lives are busy, too, during these summer months. Travel has picked up a bit more these days. I just returned from a benefit concert in Dallas for Blood:Water Mission, where I had the chance to perform alongside Derek Webb, Dan Haseltine from Jars of Clay, Chris Williams, and Bethany Dillon. Blood:Water is amazing. Since its launch, this non-profit has raised millions of dollars & partnered with more than 600 communities in Africa to provide life-saving water and health needs for almost 500,000 people. It's hard to believe that $1 provides one African with clean water for an entire year, but it's true. And I was glad to be a part of an evening that raised more money towards such a worthwhile cause.

I feel like plates have been spinning all around me lately, and I'm trying my best to keep each unique sphere in motion without crashing. Each endeavor has been exhausting on some levels, but also very rewarding on others. Getting back out on the road, co-writing for other artists, beginning to dream up a full length album for myself, writing for TV/Film projects, and writing new material with JP for The Civil Wars. BY the way, thank you to everyone who has spread the word about our free album download! We've seen over 8,000 downloads in under 10 days!!!!!! Keep sharing!

Must away quickly to a meeting! Hope this note finds you happy, healthy and well as you find your own plates spinning today!
